The dying ways - the pumpkin

Meet Idalina. She is 90 years old! I watched from a distance the decisions she had to make: opting between carrying a huge pumpkin or a box. (I’ll update the photos later) She went from picking it to carefully dropping it on the ground. She chose the box, so she started rolling the pumpkin through the field by gently kicking it. So funny! I had the most delicious conversation with her. Sweet sweet lady, however sanitarily careless. That didn’t prevent me from kissing her.;)

By the raging sea - Monday

Another one for the Series “By the Raging Sea” http://fuxs.deviantart.com/gallery/33612686 full exif on dA. Taken today. A man in a suit and umbrella enjoys a walk near the ocean, under mild rain.

A photo about nothing I.

With my latest inability to shoot anything different than my sons, here’s a photo about nothing. Straight from DPP.

Street, non-Street and why Justin Bieber sucks

In my portfolio, I have established a difference between what I think is Street and what I think is a different type of photographic genre:

This is how I interpret my City according to my sentimental view, so my identity and personal experiences are a variable that influences reality:

And this is how I document my city within what I personally believe is STREET photography:

What I have learnt is very simple: there’s a difference between documenting and deeply changing reality.

Sick and tired of discussions, this is just my input and how I act. I know that that “what is street photography” discussion is old, tedious and how people have their own hard lines/ beliefs.

I rather go out shooting (even If I format the card when I get home for having taken shitty shots) than going nowhere.

Peace.

Remember, cherish those who love you even if they make you mad at times.

Happy shooting.

:peace:

Grass playing. Stretch a leave of grass between your palms. Blow and it sounds like a horn. Kids love this stuff, though it’s really annoying btw. | © Damien C. 2012
